The pubs with rooms on my list are spread out across the city. While some are central, I’ve included others in less obvious areas like Peckham, where you can live like a local in one of the coolest neighborhoods in London.

1. The Fox and Anchor, Farringdon

First on my list of pubs with rooms in London is The Fox and Anchor. Located just off Charterhouse Square near the famous Smithfield Market, this is a classic establishment.

Victorian at heart, this place is centrally located and ideal for exploring everywhere from Clerkenwell to the City, Barbican, and Bloomsbury.

With a warren of historic wood-paneled spaces, the pub is one of the most unique in the city. My favorite things about it are the little private nooks in the back room. Perfect for clandestine rendez-vous, they’re some of the most romantic places in London.

2. The Orange, Belgravia

Next on my list of pubs with rooms in London is The Orange. Located right on Pimlico Road in Belgravia, this 19th-century number is a great place to stay if you want to be in an elegant part of London near Victoria station, Elizabeth Street, and the King’s Road in Chelsea.

Spread over four floors, The Orange is known for its wood-oven pizzas and great atmosphere. I’ve been here countless times and I always love how cozy it feels.

The rooms feature handcrafted furniture and British fabrics inspired by the design shops on the street around the pub. If you’re interested in staying in one of the rooms, you can book here.

3. The Bull & Last, Highgate

Another of the best pubs with rooms in London is The Bull & Last in Highgate. This north London number is right across the street from Hampstead Heath. It’s in a great area if you’re looking for a village feel.

The Bull & Last is a charming place. A 300-year-old coaching inn, it’s known for its elevated pub food, local London beers, and good wine list. The staff will make a picnic box for you to take to the park, too.

Spread across the top two floors, the individually-decorated rooms feature tasteful design inspired by Hampstead Heath and Kenwood House. They’re named after locals, too. If this sounds like your kind of place to stay in the city, you can book here.

4. Clerk & Well, Clerkenwell

Next on my list of the best pubs with rooms in London is The Clerk & Well. As the name implies, this one is in Clerkenwell. Conveniently located near Farringdon station, it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere central.

The Clerk & Well claims to be one of the oldest pubs in central London. Refurbished to contemporary standards, it has a stylish atmosphere and great ambiance.

The boutique rooms here are modern and comfortable, and each one is uniquely decorated. If this sounds like your kind of place, you can book your stay here.

5. The Crown & Greyhound, Dulwich

The Crown & Greyhound is next on my list of the best pubs with rooms in London. Right on the high street in Dulwich, it’s in a great location if you want to live like a local in one of the most beautiful London villages.

A charming pub, The Crown & Greyhound not only has a spacious interior, but also a great outdoor area with a barbecue. I’ve been here many times and I always like the atmosphere.

The rooms here feature a mix of historic details and modern decor and amenities. Some even have original fireplaces from the 1900s. If that appeals, you can book a room here.

6. The Culpeper, Spitalfields

The Culpeper is another of the best pubs with rooms in London. Located on Commercial Street in Spitalfields, it’s right near the Whitechapel Gallery and the famous restaurants and markets on Brick Lane.

The Culpeper is a multi-level pub featuring a large open space with period features on the ground floor. Upstairs there’s a restaurant, and on the roof you’ll find a garden with views over east London.

The rooms here are decorated with hip furnishings and cool East End style. If you want to stay in a trendy part of the city, this is a great choice. You can book here.

7. The One Tun, Farringdon

Next on my list of pubs with rooms in London is The One Tun. Located on Saffron Hill near Farringdon station, it’s in a central location between Clerkenwell and Holborn and near popular areas like the City of London.

The One Tun features modern decor and an Asian-inspired menu. If you’re a literature fan, you’ll love that Charles Dickens mentioned the pub in Oliver Twist (and he made nearby Bleeding Heart Yard the home of the Plornish family in Little Dorrit).

Rooms here feature contemporary furnishings and all the amenities. They’re on upper floors and there’s a private guest entrance separate from the pub. If that all sounds good to you, you can book your stay here.

Clerkenwell pub

8. Dog and Fox, Wimbledon

The Dog and Fox is another of the best pubs in with rooms in London. Located in Wimbledon, it’s right on the high street in the heart of the village.

The Dog and Fox is a popular pub for everything from drinks to Sunday lunch. It has a bright, modern feel and a spacious atmosphere. I’ve been here many times on weekends, and it’s always buzzing.

Rooms feature modern British decor and all the amenities. Some have bay windows and freestanding rolltop bathtubs, too. They’re all dog-friendly as well. If that appeals, you can book here.

If you want to look elsewhere in the village, the Rose & Crown is another good pub with rooms in Wimbledon.

9. The Half Moon, Herne Hill

Next on my list is The Half Moon. Located right by the station and the famous market in Herne Hill, this historic pub is famous for having connections to everyone from Dylan Thomas to John Ruskin and U2.

The Half Moon features a stunning brick facade, a series of historic dining rooms, and great outdoor areas. A Grade II-listed building, it’s been restored to its former glory and it’s worth seeing.

The stylish rooms are individually decorated, some with fireplaces and gorgeous rolltop bathtubs. The grand suite is nothing short of amazing, and there’s even a room decorated like a cabin. If this sounds like your kind of place, you can book here.

10. The Grazing Goat, Marylebone

Another of my favorite pubs with rooms in London is The Grazing Goat. Situated near Oxford Street and Marble Arch in Marylebone, this modern pub is in a great location for everything from shopping to exploring Hyde Park.

The Grazing Goat is known for its rustic-chic interior, modern British menu, and street terrace. I’ve been here countless times and I love everything from the food to the ambiance. You can read my review here.

11. The Victoria Inn, Peckham

Next on my list of the best pubs with rooms in London is The Victoria Inn. Located on the corner of trendy Bellenden Road in Peckham, it’s in an ideal place to live like a local in one of the most hipster neighborhoods in south London.

Dating back to 1878, The Victoria Inn features a large ground-floor dining room and a street terrace that’s perfect for sunny days. I’ve been here many times and I love the spacious interior and lively atmosphere.

Upstairs, the rooms have design-led decor and wood furniture. Feature Doubles have sofa beds that allow families of up to four to stay together in one room. If this sounds like your kind of place to call home-away-from-home, you can book a stay here.
