I am a London-based travel writer and speaker. I run an award-winning travel and lifestyle blog, A Lady in London, which I founded in 2007 and turned into a full-time job in 2010. It has taken me all over London and to 102 countries (and counting!). You can read the full story here.

Originally from San Francisco, I came to London after leaving a career in finance, during which I worked for Goldman Sachs and a hedge fund. Prior to that, I studied International Relations at Brown University and spent my summers working at the US Embassy in Paris and the US Mission to the EU in Brussels.

My travel writing and recommendations have been featured on National Geographic Intelligent Travel, Lonely Planet, BA High Life, Time Out, Metro, and other leading travel and lifestyle publications.

My photography is regularly commissioned by Eater, and has featured in magazines like Ski+board and exhibitions at institutions like the Leeds College of Art. I also work with BBC Travel to share my photos of London through their Twitter and Instagram accounts and on their website each week.

I’m active across many social media platforms, and you can follow ‘aladyinlondon’ for updates. Instagram has added me to its Suggested Users List that highlights the top photographers on Instagram, Esquire has listed me as one of Instagram’s 20 Coolest Travel Photographers, Skyscanner has rated me one of the top 11 Instagram accounts to follow in 2016, Harper’s Bazaar has featured me as one of its 17 Must-Follow Travel Accounts on Instagram, the Mail Online has featured me as an Instagram account that will inspire you to travel the world, and Italy’s La Repubblica has listed me as one of 18 travel Instagram accounts to follow.

I have been interviewed on Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio in the United States, BBC Radio London and the Mail Online in the UK, Cleo Magazine in Australia, and other major international media outlets.

In conjunction with the blog, I offer travel planning services for clients and one-on-one blog coaching for bloggers.

Additionally, I teach classes and workshops about blogging and social media at General Assembly, the Guardian, and The School of Life, and speak at a variety of events and conferences, including the World Travel Market, the Web Summit, Social Media Week, and Traverse. I also lecture and give talks at universities, including the University of Cambridge, and offer in-house social media training for companies. You can learn more about my speaking and lecturing work on my business website.
