Today I want to share my interactive map of Cotswold villages with you. I love traveling in the Cotswolds and I know many of you do as well, so I hope the map will be a good resource for you as you plan your visits to this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the English countryside.

If you’re not familiar with the Cotswolds, the area spans nearly 800 square miles (2,070 square kilometers) across five counties in England.

Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire all contribute to the Cotswolds geographically.

The area is known for its bucolic landscapes and chocolate-box villages, not to mention heritage architecture, stunning gardens, and pastoral charm.

While the Cotswolds are mostly rural, towns and cities like Cheltenham, Cirencester, and Bath sit on the borders and add energy to the area.

Best Places in the Cotswolds

I’ve written a lot about the Cotswolds on the A Lady in London blog over the years, and I’m excited to be able to pull it all together in my map of Cotswold villages.

I’ve published a Cotswolds day trip itinerary for a day trip from London by car. I’ve also done a guide to visiting the Cotswolds without a car.

I’ve written reviews of a small-group Cotswolds day tour and an Oxford and Cotswolds day tour from London, too. They’re great for those that want independence without the hassle of driving or taking public transport.

I’ve also written about the best Cotswolds villages, the most beautiful places to visit in the Cotswolds, my top picks for National Trust Cotswolds properties to see, a Moreton-in-Marsh walk, and a Burford circular walk.

For seasonal travel, I’ve written about how to spend a winter weekend in the Cotswolds, a spring weekend in the Cotswolds, and an autumn weekend in the Cotswolds (clearly I need to do a summer one to round things out!).

I’ve also published blog posts about individual Cotswold villages. I’ve covered Painswick, which is my favorite village in the area.

I’ve written about Upper Slaughter, which is an underrated village, and Castle Combe, which is one of the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds.

As far as hotels go, I’ve reviewed Cotswolds accommodation like Ellenborough Park and Painswick hotels in Gloucestershire.

The latter has my favorite hotels in the Cotswolds and I make it my home base nearly every time I go for a weekend or overnight getaway. If you’re wondering where to stay in the Cotswolds, Painswick is just the place. You can book a room here.

So where can you find all these spots? They’re on my interactive Google map of Cotswold villages.

I’ve included all the places I’ve written about on the blog, and if you click on the pins you can see the names of the villages and my corresponding blog posts.

I hope you enjoy the Cotswolds map and that it helps you plan for how to explore the area. There are so many great places to discover here.

Whether you’re traveling from London to the Cotswolds or journeying from elsewhere, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this part of England as much as I have when you visit. Happy travels!
