Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas Gift Guide

This Christmas gift guide is based on the things I cover on the blog: London and travel. If you’re looking for Christmas presents for the people in your life who love one or the other (or both!), this is just the place to find the perfect gifts.

Whether your friends and family love iconic London beauty products or beautiful English porcelain, fun days out in Britain or charitable causes, there’s something in this gift guide for each of them.

1. London Christmas Gifts

Given the name of my blog, I can’t help mentioning London at the start of my Christmas gift guide.

If you’re looking for good ideas, you can take a look at my list of things to buy in London. There are lots of fun presents to choose from.

2. Travel Christmas Gifts

Next on my Christmas gift guide come presents for travelers. If your loved ones love to explore, why not get them a National Trust or English Heritage membership?

Both grant access to hundreds of properties throughout the UK and are perfect for anyone who enjoys discovering stately homes, gardens, and other historic places.

You can get a National Trust gift membership here or an English Heritage gift membership here.

3. Beauty Christmas Gifts

If your family and friends love beauty products, London’s famous Neal’s Yard Remedies products are just the Christmas gifts for them this year.

The company has a famous shop in Covent Garden’s colorful Neal’s Yard, and it’s synonymous with English natural skincare.

With collections like English Lavender and remedies featuring classic herbs like chamomile, they’re the perfect British gifts. You can get them here.

4. Foodie Christmas Gifts

Next on my Christmas gift guide are presents for foodies. If your loved ones are into food and drink, London’s iconic Twinings tea products are the ideal Christmas presents for them.

Dating back to 1706, Twinings is a quintessential heritage brand when it comes to English tea. You might remember their historic shop in the UK capital from my London tea itinerary.

From hampers to gift sets, Twinings has great Christmas presents to choose from. They even offer experiences for tea tastings in London. You can see all their offerings and pick out the perfect one here.

5. Christmas Gifts for the Home

If your loved ones love beautiful home goods, England’s classic Wedgwood products are just the Christmas gifts for them.

Wedgwood has been a household name in the UK since the 18th century. Their Christmas collection features everything from Christmas tree ornaments to tableware and glassware.

Elegant and stylish, Wedgwood products make great gifts (I should know; I have lots of their products in my own home). You can see the whole collection and choose the perfect gifts here.

6. Christmas Gifts for the Tree

If your friends and family love decorating the tree, Britain’s Gisela Graham products are just the Christmas gifts for them.

Gisela Graham is a leading light in British seasonal decor. Her Christmas tree ornaments and other decorations make perfect presents for any Anglophile. There’s a charitable angle to her business, too.

You can see my favorite seasonal Gisela Graham decorations and where to get them on my blog post about Christmas tree ornaments.

7. Charitable Christmas Gifts

Regular readers of A Lady in London know that I love dogs. As such, no Christmas gift guide of mine would be complete without a canine-related recommendation.

And what better gift to give than sponsoring a dog at Dogs Trust in your loved one’s name?

The charity offers sponsorship for just £1 a week, and the recipient of your gift will receive messages and love from her or his sponsor dog throughout the year. Sponsors can even go visit their dogs to say hello in person.

  1. We are (5 people) looking for a restaurante in
Paddington or Bayswater area for some
reasonably priced, for dinner on December 25th.
    Could help us? Thanks!

    • Hi Antonio! I don’t know many restaurants in that area, and I would guess that a lot of them will be closed on the 25th, but I have heard good things about Four Seasons on Queensway. The Peking Duck is supposed to be excellent there. You could try them and see if they are open.
