Exciting news: today’s the 14-year blog anniversary of the A Lady in London blog! I can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade-and-a-half since I started the blog back in San Francisco before I moved to London. It’s come a long way since then, and I’m excited to celebrate.

I’m particularly happy the occasion falls right after A Lady in London was named one of the top travel blogs in the UK by a trusted industry source. It feels good to see all the hard work I’ve put into the blog pay off.

I’m also happy it comes during a time when travel is opening back up again. That said, the blog is called A Lady in London and I’ve enjoyed spending more time than usual in and around the UK capital over the last 18 months.

From new-to-me areas like Finchley to day trips to places like Hastings, Battle, Deal, and Lewes, it’s been great to explore England.

And that’s to say nothing of all the country walks near London I’ve been able to take and share with you.

From West Sussex walks to the Oak Trail in Epping Forest and Moreton-in-Marsh walks in the Cotswolds, they’ve all taken me to great places to visit near London.

I’ve also enjoyed getting back into the swing of traveling lately. In the last two weeks I’ve been in Phuket and Ireland (but you knew that from my Instagram), and I look forward to more adventures abroad as things continue to reopen.

I have trips booked to San Francisco and Edinburgh, and I’m speaking at a conference in Palma de Mallorca in November. There are more journeys in the pipeline, too. I can’t wait to share about them with you.

Future of the A Lady in London Blog

This year has been unpredictable to say the least, but I’m looking forward to the future and I’m optimistic there will be lots more to celebrate on the next A Lady in London blog anniversary.

In the meantime, thank you for all your support over the last 14 years. When I created this blog in 2007 I thought it would always just be a casual hobby. It still amazes me I’ve been blogging full-time for over a decade.

I have you to thank for helping me get to where I am today, and I’m grateful. Here’s to another exciting year ahead!

Maybe when the kids get older I can finally make the dream come true. Who knows, maybe I’ll run into you! London isn’t that big, right? lol
