I’m celebrating 11 years of blogging full-time today. In January 2010, I quit my day job to make a career of running the A Lady in London blog. I haven’t looked back since.

11 Years of Blogging Full-Time

While one year more than a decade isn’t the biggest anniversary to commemorate, I’m happy to have something to get excited about at a time when the normal course of events has been anything but normal.

The past year has seen both my industry and my business get hit hard, and while I’m optimistic things will recover in the future, I’m impatient for the future to get here faster than it will.

In spite of that, I’m happy to still have a business at all. I’m focusing on being grateful for your support for the A Lady in London blog and hopeful that when things get back to normal (or the new normal, anyway) there will be much to do.

When I think back to last year when I celebrated 10 years of full-time blogging, it’s hard to believe how much the world has changed.

In fact, a year ago today I was getting on a flight to Park City, Utah for a ski trip. That seems hard to imagine now.

Blogging in the Past Year

In spite of the year not going how I thought it would, there have been bright spots.

I’ve gotten to spend a lot more time in London than I usually do, which has allowed me to explore more of the city and bring you lots of blog and social media posts about it.

I’ve been able to take business trips to Poland and Dubai, and day trips to Hastings, Battle, Deal, and a lavender field near London. I even did a Sevenoaks walk in the Kent countryside, which was a nice break from city life.

I’ve also focused on building up the A Lady in London YouTube channel, which has more subscribers than I ever thought it would after a year (thank you!).

I’ve launched a whole collection of London products with To Home From London, which has been exciting after the success of the London tote bags we collaborated on.

I’ve worked behind the scenes on a lot of new content and improvements to the blog, too. I look forward to sharing more about it with you in the future.

Thank You

In the meantime, thank you for all your support over the last 12 months. You’re the reason I’m still in business.

I’m grateful for all the times you’ve read, liked, followed, subscribed, shared, commented, told your friends, booked, bought, watched, and otherwise helped me this year.

Here’s to another 11 years of blogging full-time on A Lady in London!
