One of my favorite things to do in the UK is discover the country’s pretty towns and villages. And Cheltenham is certainly one of them. I’ve been here countless times since moving to London, and on each trip I discover more to love about it. I love books. I’ve been a voracious reader since childhood, and there are few things I enjoy more than getting lost in a good story. Which is why I’m excited to be at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.
Nothing gets me excited like a last-minute weekend getaway from London. On a Friday evening, my boyfriend and I decide to be spontaneous and take an impromptu trip to Gloucestershire. We hop in the car Saturday morning and drive west for a cozy winter weekend in the Cotswolds.
Today I want to share my Ellenborough Park hotel review with you. Of all the beautiful places in England, the Cotswolds are my favorite. Pretty villages and quintessential English countryside come standard, and the area has everything my inner American expects to find in a British travel destination. Oh, and there are horses. And lots of fluffy sheep.
