Today I want to share my guide to Robin Hood’s Bay with you. After visiting Leeds, my great British road trip continues in the North York Moors National Park. Specifically, in a little fishing village on a big beach. I’m spending 2 days in Robin Hood’s Bay, and I’m so excited to be here.
Today is the 10-year anniversary of the day I moved to London. I know I say this every year, but it’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone. When I first arrived, I never expected to stay long enough to settle in, get British citizenship, and make a living writing a travel blog, but I’m so glad all those things have happened. And after 10 years of living in London, I’m finally starting to feel British. Well, kind of. And kind of not. Here’s why I’m torn…
Heading north from Nottingham, my great British road trip has brought me to Yorkshire. While here, I’m going to indulge in the area’s artistic highlights. This county has world-class sculpture parks and museums, and I can’t wait to explore them on a trip around the Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle.
Following a beautiful visit to Wiltshire, my great British road trip has taken me north to the Midlands. People have been telling me about Nottingham for years, but I’ve never managed to get here. Now the land of Robin Hood and his sheriff is finally on my travel itinerary, and I arrive excited to spend 1 day in Nottingham.
