It’s time for books again! I’ve written about 21 books to read while traveling, 11 books to read about London, and 7 works of Scottish fiction. To continue in that vein, today I want to share my 15 picks for books to read in England. I’ve read all of them and I hope they inspire you to travel in the UK and keep you company while you do.
Is it just me, or does Britain get more into Christmas every year? When I first moved to London, there were a few stray markets and some lights. Today the whole country has embraced the season in spectacular style. And this year I’ve seen it most clearly in Edinburgh. When I think of Greek islands, I think of Mykonos. It’s hard not to, what with its reputation for being one of the most popular places to travel in Greece. So after 5 days on the mainland, 4 days in Santorini, and 2 days in Tinos, I can’t resist ending my trip with 2 days in Mykonos.
“You’re the last guests of the season,” he says with a smile. This is beginning to sound familiar. After being the final occupants of our hotel in Santorini, we’ve arrived in Tinos ready for a repeat. Which makes sense. It’s the very end of October, after all, and the Greek islands are preparing to hibernate until spring. But there’s still time to see this one before it’s too late, and with 2 days in Tinos we’re excited to see what there is to do.
