Today I want to share A Lady in London’s top picks for the best west London walks with you. There are loads of pretty places to get out and admire the city in this part of the UK capital, and I hope you enjoy these self-guided London walks as much as I do.

1. West London walks in Notting Hill

The first of my west London walks is in Notting Hill. This London neighborhood is famous, but a lot of people only visit Portobello Road and the other main streets when they’re in the area.

3. West London walks in South Kensington

The third of my of my west London walks is in South Kensington. This one starts where my Kensington walk ends, so you can combine them for a longer leg stretch if you want to.

This self-guided London walking tour goes through South Kensington’s most picturesque side streets and reveals the neighborhood’s colorful houses, cobblestone streets, and heritage facades at their best.

4. West London walks in Holland Park

The fourth of my west London walks is in Holland Park. This elegant area is full of grand houses and unique mews streets, not to mention a high street full of pretty shops, cafes, and restaurants.

As the name implies, Holland Park is also home to one of London’s most colorful green spaces. The tulip gardens are gorgeous in spring and the Kyoto Garden is lovely all year. There are peacocks, too.

This west London walk will take you from the Holland Park tube station to the houses, parks, and mews the area is known for. It’s perfect if you love a mix of pretty facades and peaceful gardens.

5. West London walks in Chelsea

The fifth of my west London walks is in Chelsea. This area is one of London’s most beautiful, with pastel houses, an exciting high street, and riverfront scenery all around.

This self-guided London walk goes through the back streets and secret gardens in Chelsea. It will also show you the retail highlights along the King’s Road and some of the best places in Chelsea.
