Today I want to share my Westfield Stratford City guide with you. Europe’s largest urban shopping center, this east London mall is a popular place to shop, dine, and be entertained.
Westfield Stratford City
I was recently invited to take a tour of the Westfield Stratford City. I arrived yesterday and met up with the other invitees in the shopping center’s management office.
We saw a short presentation on the mall, complete with information about access by public transport at Stratford station. We also learned about a lot of the shops.
But it wasn’t the shopping information that caught my attention. It was everything else. Throughout the presentation and subsequent tour, I discovered lots of things that can entertain a person at the Westfield Stratford City.
Restaurants
In addition to retail shops, there’s a variety of Westfield Stratford City restaurants. I wasn’t super excited about the food court, but I was interested in some of the other dining options.
These include Comptoir Libanais, Rosa’s, Five Guys, and Franco Manca, which serves some of the best pizza in London.
Food Shops and Supermarkets
In addition to restaurants, the Westfield Stratford City features small food retailers including specialty providers and delicatessens.
There’s also a gigantic Waitrose in case I want to subject myself to more expat grocery shopping experiences.
Westfield Stratford City Entertainment
There are also a few other things beyond shopping at the Westfield Stratford City. One is a cinema. Another is a bowling alley, complete with a bar and restaurant.
A third is a children’s play area. Okay, so they might not let me in to the last one, but it looks like a lot of fun.
Westfield Stratford City
When the tour of the mall ended, I took the tube back to central London. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would, but the distance from where I live means I probably won’t be a regular at the Westfield Stratford City.
That said, I discovered enough non-shopping options that I might just have to pop back over for a visit to enjoy some of the entertainment.
