I’m celebrating a big blogging milestone: five years ago today I quit my job to run the A Lady in London blog full-time. Turning the blog into a business was a goal for a long time, and making it a reality has been one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done.
Blogging Full-Time for Five Years
The last five years have been an adventure. Full-time blogging has kept me busier than I ever imagined, and the fact that I run a travel blog means my work has taken me all over the world.
Working in such a new industry has also been both rewarding and challenging, guaranteeing there’s always something new to learn or launch.
I’ve also encountered a lot of surprises along the way. When I turned the blog into a business, I never imagined I would also be planning trips for clients, teaching, and helping other bloggers improve their blogs.
I’ve enjoyed all the directions the A Lady in London blog has gone in, both on the website and off, and I’m excited to see what the next five years have in store.
If you’re reading this and thinking “I wish I could do something like that,” I want to encourage you to take that step.
Whether it’s turning your blog into a business, leaving your job to travel or switch careers, or just making a big change in your life, do it. It might seem scary, but I promise it will be worth it. Good luck!
