Lady’s Lovely Stratford-upon-Avon Video

It’s video time! I had such a great weekend in Stratford-upon-Avon that I want to share a bit more about it. As such, today I bring you a Stratford-upon-Avon video, complete with a virtual tour around the town.

This quick video covers everything from Shakespeare’s houses to the Old Town, with lots of lovely Tudor highlights thrown in.

My Stratford-upon-Avon video includes some of my favorite places in town, from Shakespeare’s Birthplace to Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.

The latter is one of the prettiest thatched-roof cottages I’ve come across in England, and I’m glad I was able to visit it.

The video also covers famous spots like Shakespeare’s New Place and Hall’s Croft. The former is a medieval house built in the 1480s. It was purchased by Shakespeare in 1597 when he was 33, and he and his family lived there for generations.

Hall’s Croft was the Jacobean home of Shakespeare’s daughter, Susanna, and her husband, John. It has lots of exhibits that bring it to life.

Hall’s Croft also has a lovely walled garden to explore outside. John was a physician and some of the medicinal herbs in the garden would have been used by him in his medical work.

Other highlights of my Stratford-upon-Avon video include the River Avon with its boats, barges, and swans. The Shakespeare statue by the river figures in as well, as do many of the beautiful historic buildings in the Old Town.

And that’s to say nothing of the theaters, which is what many people travel here to experience (including myself on a past trip).

My Stratford-upon-Avon video shows the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the views from its tower. As you’ll see, the panoramas of the river and town are amazing from the top.
