Happy new year! Today I want to share my guide to spending New Year’s Eve in London. This city is a great place to ring in the new year, not least because of its big fireworks show.
New Year’s Eve in London
I hope you enjoyed your New Year’s Eve wherever you celebrated in the world. I had the opportunity to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks in London for the first time, and it was an amazing show.
The annual fireworks display in London takes place right on the Thames above Big Ben and the London Eye. It’s one of the world’s best shows on December 31st, and it lasts an impressively long time.
The city requires people to have tickets to watch the fireworks along the river, but I was lucky enough to have a friend with a great view of the show from her flat in Lambeth. The London Eye took center stage, and it was a good vantage point.
It was amazing to see the display, and I created a video of the fireworks show so you can see it and experience the magic.

I always find it interesting to sit somewhere quiet as midnight approaches on New Year’s Eve and then just experience the boom of London exploding around you. Fireworks seem to go off from every direction and the echo just reverberates. Fun x

I watched the fireworks on the TV and wow, they were spectacular this year! How lucky to have a friend who lives nearby so you could watch them in the warm 😉

I had a ticket as I live within the zone – we enjoyed the fireworks and the Shard countdown too!

How lovely!! We typically go to the big block party in Nashville but this year we bought tickets to a private party at one of the bars… With a great view of the block party going on on the street below! Haha it was a blast and much warmer than it would have been outside.

I have to say I think I prefer the fireworks from last year! Same as always, I didn’t had any view to the fireworks so I’ve followed from television. You had a pretty good view, well done
