I’m back from Africa. As with any great trip, I have a bit of a post-travel hangover. But before I give in and settle back into life in London, I have one last memory to share: an Africa travel video. I managed to condense three weeks of travel into two quick minutes, and I hope you enjoy the result!

If you want to learn more about the trip after you watch my Africa travel video, you can read through my blog posts about each of the places I went to.

I’ve published blog posts about all the destinations, and I hope they help inspire you to follow in my footsteps. I visited Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, and South Africa, so there’s a lot to take in.

Zambia

In Zambia, I wrote about expat life in Lusaka, a safari in South Luangwa National Park, and a stint on the Islands of Siankaba in the Zambezi River. They were all great experiences.

It was fun to stay with a friend in Lusaka and see what his life was like. I also enjoyed being in a safari lodge where elephants walk through the lobby on a regular basis.

And as my Africa travel video shows, the islands were some of the most unique places I’ve stayed on my travels. Walking on skinny footbridges between them and taking canoe trips down the river was amazing.

Zimbabwe

In Zimbabwe, I wrote about Victoria Falls and a safari nearby. I’d wanted to see Victoria Falls for a long time, and they lived up to their epic reputation.

I enjoyed the safari as well, and it was great that my hosts took me to a local school to meet the children and tell me about the work their organization is doing in the community.

Botswana

Safaris in Botswana are legendary, as you can see from my Africa travel video. The one I went on showed me some of the most diverse wildlife I’ve ever seen on safari.

From wild dogs to genets, I couldn’t believe how many species I spotted. And that’s to say nothing of the baby lions, which were adorable.

Mozambique

Mozambique was beach paradise. I stayed on Medjumbe Private Island in the north of the country and it had everything from pristine white sand to turquoise water. I wanted to move in and live there forever.

South Africa

But as you saw in my Africa travel video, I left Mozambique and traveled to South Africa. From sightseeing in Cape Town to wine tasting in Stellenbosch and a luxury safari in Kruger National Park, I covered a lot of ground in a short time.

Southern Africa Travel Video

I hope you enjoyed the Africa travel video and that it and my blog posts help you plan a trip of your own. Southern Africa is worth a visit, and I’m sure you’ll love being there as much as I did.
