Snow in Hampstead! Lots and lots of snow! More snow than London has seen in 18 years!
Snow in Hampstead
The entire city has shut down. The tube isn’t running. The airport runways are frozen. Every adult and child in London is enjoying a snow day.
Hampstead is awash in white, even more beautiful than usual. Church Row is dusted with snow. Each stone in the cemetery has a bright white cap, and all the front doorsteps are inches-deep in glistening powder.

Hampstead Heath is teeming with families and their sleds, couples with their dogs, and photographers hoping their cameras will capture the snow in Hampstead. Everyone’s taking winter walks in the heath today.
I’m warm at home, curled up with a cup of tea, a movie, and a boyfriend. The snow is beautiful in the silent darkness outside my window. Falling, falling, falling…
