I love Hampstead Heath in any season, but it’s particularly beautiful when the leaves turn. If you feel the same, I hope you enjoy seeing my photos of Hampstead Heath in autumn.
Hampstead Heath in Autumn
The other morning I awoke to a beautiful London autumn day with bright blue skies and crisp fall air. In other words, it was the perfect morning for a walk in Hampstead Heath.
Autumn Walk in Hampstead Heath
My camera in tow, I went from Well Walk to Kenwood House, down to the bathing ponds and up to Parliament Hill.
The fall colors were gorgeous, and Hampstead Heath looked particularly striking in the bright autumn sunshine.
I loved the views of the trees from the top of Parliament Hill. Their foliage was beautiful against the backdrop of the green grass and blue sky.
I also enjoyed walking through the wooded areas of Hampstead Heath. The way the light filtered through the trees was enchanting.
It cast long shadows over the carpet of fallen leaves, giving it a haunting quality.
And that’s to say nothing of how the light hit the tops of the leaves, making them glow golden in the seasonal sunshine.
It was also nice to see Kenwood House on my walk. The stately home was easier to photograph without the summer crowds, and the area felt peaceful.
Back on Well Walk, I continued to see signs of the season in the fallen leaves by the benches along the road.
