I recently joined an organization called the Spinsters of San Francisco. As the name implies, the Spinsters is a social / charitable group (with an emphasis on the former) of young, single women in San Francisco.
Thursday was the SF Spinsters’ fall charity party, LUXE. I bought a new dress for the party, which was an event in itself. The last time I bought a cocktail dress was for my high school homecoming sophomore year…that was in 1997!
I guess when you go to a hippie school for college and then move to casual California you don’t really have much need for dresses.
My boyfriend and I had fun seeing friends and dancing, and we even remembered to take a few pictures.
