If there’s a best time of year to visit Mongolia, it’s July. The annual Naadam Festival is the highlight of the Mongolian summer. A trifecta of traditional Mongolian wrestling, archery, and long-distance horse racing, the Naadam Festival showcases some of the country’s most impressive traditions.

After exploring the Forbidden City, my friend and I continued our one day in Beijing by traveling to another top sightseeing destination: the Great Wall. Visiting the Great Wall of China had long been on my travel bucket list, and I couldn’t wait to see it up close.
