But when a friend invited me to Secret Cinema in London last week, I jumped at the chance to see a mystery film in a festive atmosphere among the tunnels beneath Waterloo Station.

Today I want to share my Malta travel guide with you. Ten years ago I had no idea where Malta was. In fact, I had never even heard of it. When the activities director from my school in Nice told me that she was going to Malta for the weekend, I was too embarrassed to ask her where it was. Later I asked a friend, who said “I think it’s somewhere between England and Germany”.
