Greetings from California! Today I want to share my guide to the best things to do in San Francisco. I grew up in the Bay Area and lived in San Francisco for years. I might be biased, but this is one of the best cities in the world.
It’s pouring rain in Washington, DC. I had planned a day of sightseeing around the monuments and memorials, but nature has different ideas. And that’s okay, because there’s plenty to do indoors here, and with more than one day in town I can hope for better weather tomorrow. So I take out my umbrella and begin my 48 hours in Washington, DC.
“We don’t need an event here,” my snowshoeing guide tells me. “The park is the event. Every day.” He’s referring to Banff National Park, where we’re standing in a silent forest as dusk sets in. The snow sparkles all around, and the winter ice dazzles us with its crystalline beauty. As the solitude sinks in, I can’t help but agree with him. The area has a lot to offer, but the national park itself is what wins me over. It’s ice magic in Lake Louise.
