Today I want to share my travel itinerary for 6 days in Marrakech with you. Just under a week in this part of North Africa is a great amount of time to see the city and visit nearby places like Essaouira and the Agafay Desert. From spice-laden food to buzzing souks, beautiful riads, and rooftop terraces, there are lots of fun things to do and see in and around Marrakech. Read on for my itinerary. I’ve included a map, too.
Morocco’s capital has never been on my radar screen. Everyone talks about visiting Marrakech, but Rabat doesn’t get much air time as a travel destination. It should, though, as the city has a lot going for it. I’m here for the day and I’ve found a lot of exciting things to do in Rabat.
There’s something romantic about Casablanca. Maybe I’ve seen the movie too many times, but this Moroccan city has always had a certain mystique for me. Beyond the film, however, I’ve never actually known what the city has to offer. Now that I’m here, I’m discovering a wealth of things to do in Casablanca.
My epic foodie trip to Marrakech last week included a great cooking lesson. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try making the recipes at home. I shot a Moroccan cooking video showing how to make couscous and got a cardoon salad recipe. Both can teach you how to cook Moroccan food.
