Lady’s Milestone Hotel Afternoon Tea Review

Today I want to share my review of The Milestone Hotel afternoon tea with you. Enjoying a London afternoon tea in this five-star boutique hotel in Kensington is a great traditional treat in the UK capital.

Milestone Hotel Afternoon Tea

The Park Lounge is beautiful. Its dark wood interior and luxuriously cushioned chairs are exactly what I picture when I think of Britain.

The books lining the shelves on the walls, the oil paintings hanging over the sofas, and the quiet ambiance all lend themselves to making the room an ideal place for The Milestone Hotel afternoon tea in London.

The hotel, which is conveniently located right on Hyde Park in Kensington, invited me to try its tea service this week. Given its consistently high ratings and proximity to Kensington Palace, it’s one of the best hotels near London’s attractions.

As soon as I walked into the Park Lounge, I fell in love with its historic charm and modern touches.

Soon a server took my order and that of my tea companion, and the table filled up with glasses of champagne and cups of blackcurrant and lavender infusions.

They were followed by a classic tiered tray of sweets and sandwiches. It was a great start to The Milestone Hotel afternoon tea.

The sandwiches were a generous spread of Scottish smoked salmon, egg and Hampshire cress, roast ham and English mustard, Mull of Kintyre cheddar and tomato, and chicken and mayonnaise with chopped almonds.

The sandwich plate was topped by two plates of pastries, again with generous portion sizes.

From carrot cake to chocolate cake, meringue macarons to fruit tartlets, we were spoiled for choice by The Milestone Hotel afternoon tea.

The same went for the scones, which our server brought out at the end to ensure maximum freshness and warmth.

An abundance of plain, currant, and chocolate scones arrived along with clotted cream and jam. Their lightness made them the stars of the tea service.

When both the food and our appetites were depleted, we still had the lovely room to keep us afloat. And that might have been the best thing about The Milestone Hotel afternoon tea.

I was tempted to take the Park Lounge with me when I left (they wouldn’t notice, right?), but then I might never leave London to travel the world again. I’ll just have to go back to the hotel soon for more.
