Today’s the 5-year blog anniversary of the A Lady in London blog! It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years since I quit my hedge fund job, started a travel blog, and moved to London. I’ve accomplished a decent amount since then, though.

5-Year Blog Anniversary

90 countries, innumerable London restaurants, exciting travels around the UK, and—most importantly—great memories of all my experiences have made the first 5 years of the blog some of the best of my life.

On this 5-year blog anniversary, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all my readers, fans, followers, family, and friends for your support over the last 5 years.

  1. Congrats on such a huge milestone. I’ve been following along for a bit but didn’t realize this blog was around so long. I suspect the huge amount of great content should have been an indicator!! Lol. Keep up the great work – I have so much more information to devour!!

  2. Congratulations! I enjoy reading your blog, and as someone who blogs as just a hobby (so far…), how did you make the leap from full-time employment (in an unrelated field) to full-time writer? And how did you know when it was “time” to do so?

    • Thanks Sasha! I made the leap after writing the blog as a hobby for a couple of years. I had always loved to write, and I learned the online part as I went. I didn’t really know that it was “time” per se, but I knew that I wanted to do it, so I took the plunge. It was scary, but definitely worth it!
