I am a London-based travel writer and consultant. Originally from California, I graduated from Brown University in Rhode Island and began my career in finance. I spent several years working for Goldman Sachs and a hedge fund in San Francisco before moving to the UK and launching the A Lady in London blog in 2007. You can read the full story here.

My travel writing and recommendations have been featured on National Geographic Intelligent Travel, Lonely Planet, BA High Life, Time Out, Metro, and other leading travel and lifestyle publications.

My photography is regularly commissioned by Eater, and has featured in magazines like Ski+board and exhibitions at institutions like the Leeds College of Art. I also work with BBC Travel to share my photos of London through their Twitter and Instagram accounts and on their website.

Additionally, Instagram has added me to its Suggested Users List that highlights the top photographers on Instagram, Esquire has listed me as one of Instagram’s 20 Coolest Travel Photographers, Skyscanner has rated me the #1 Instagram account to follow in 2015, and Harper’s Bazaar has featured me as one of its 17 Must-Follow Travel Accounts on Instagram, and the Mail Online has featured me as an Instagram account that will inspire you to travel the world.

I have been interviewed on Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio in the United States, the Mail Online in the UK, Cleo Magazine in Australia, and other major international media outlets.

In conjunction with the blog, I offer social media, blogger outreach, and digital strategy consulting for businesses, travel planning services for clients, one-on-one blog coaching for bloggers, and freelance writing and photography for media outlets.

Additionally, I teach classes and workshops about blogging and social media at General Assembly and the Guardian, and speak at a variety of events and conferences, including the World Travel Market, the Web Summit, Social Media Week, and Traverse. I also lecture and give talks at universities, including the University of Cambridge, and offer webinars to a global audience through A Lady in London.
