Lady’s Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas is coming. Two weeks from tomorrow is the big day, and if you’re like me, you haven’t done your Christmas shopping yet. Not all of it, anyway. To help you find inspiration for the perfect gifts, I have put together a hand-picked list for the first annual A Lady in London Christmas Gift Guide. Happy shopping!

Travel Gifts

Mini Cooper Tour of London

smallcarBIGCITY‘s vintage Mini Cooper tours of London need no introduction, not least because I introduced them last week after going on one! The company offers private guided tours tailored to your interests, showing off the best of London’s sightseeing highlights. Ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours, the Mini Cooper tours make a great Christmas gift for everyone from classic car lovers to those that would appreciate seeing London from a different perspective.

Rosetta Stone

Make someone’s travels unforgettable this Christmas with the gift of language. Speaking a local language confidently opens the door to whole cultures, from food and drink to people and history. With Rosetta Stone, you’re immersed in your new language as if you are in the country, and they get you speaking right from the start. Today all A Lady in London readers can save £100 on their Christmas gift by using this special link (offer ends 20th December). Choose from over 20 languages and spread the joy!

Travel Journal

Bound for Anything’s Vegan Leather Custom Travel Journal is the perfect gift for anyone who daydreams about travel or needs a beautiful little reminder that there’s more out there to explore just yet. It’s a design-your-own travel atlas, and you can choose from world maps, city maps, calendars, packing lists, and more. Better yet, you can let the recipient design her or his own with a gift card.

Foodie Gifts

Cheese Plate

For the foodie in your life, a fun, social tasting of amazing Champagnes and delicious French cheeses is the perfect Christmas gift. Your loved one can have this experience at an exclusive event at Champagne & Fromage, a boutique import shop bringing rustic fare and fizz to London. They will enjoy a glass of rosé Champagne on arrival, followed by a pairing of four glasses of Champagne and fine French cheeses. This social event is exclusive to Lime&Tonic, and A Lady in London readers can get a £10 credit by booking here.

Beauty Gifts

Beauty Box

SheSaidBeauty.com is an online beauty discovery destination, offering information to help people to make informed, confident beauty decisions. The site recommends products, people and opinions that have been uniquely matched to a person’s beauty profile. For Christmas, you can buy your loved one the ultimate Beauty Discovery Box, which offers five beauty samples each month from top brands. SheSaidbeauty.com has given A Lady in London the exclusive discount code ALL25 for you to receive 25% off any Beauty Box purchased in December or January.

Fashion Gifts

Popped Colours Polo Shirts

For many men, achieving a unique look can be a minefield of sartorial failures – too flashy and their mates will never let them forget it, too bland and everyone may forget them. Finding the right balance has been a difficult task…until now. Popped Colours® makes high quality, athletic fit polo shirts that are limited to 500 made. This preserves the uniqueness of each style and makes it a great gift for a special man in your life. The collection consists of white and navy shirts decorated with fabric from Liberty of London on the underside of the collars.

Alexander McQueen hummingbird print dress

Lyst is a personalized online clothing store where you can discover products you love from people you follow, and also shop for all of your favorite brands in one place. For the lady in your life (or for your gift to yourself!), you can choose from among Lyst’s wide variety of dresses to find the perfect fit. The Alexander McQueen hummingbird print dress is a particular beauty, and would be the perfect piece to make a splash on New Year’s Eve.

Charitable Gifts

Dogs Trust Logo

Regular readers of A Lady in London know that I love dogs. As such, no Christmas gift guide of mine would be complete without a canine-related recommendation. And what better gift to give than sponsoring a dog at Dogs Trust in your loved one’s name? The charity offers sponsorship for just £1 a week, and the recipient of your gift will receive messages and love from her or his sponsor dog throughout the year. Sponsors can even go visit their dogs to say hello in person.

Hi Antonio! I don’t know many restaurants in that area, and I would guess that a lot of them will be closed on the 25th, but I have heard good things about Four Seasons on Queensway. The Peking Duck is supposed to be excellent there. You could try them and see if they are open.

Very good ideas! I also think donating to a charity in someone’s name is a cool idea.
