Lady Turns 5
Today is the five year anniversary of the A Lady in London blog! It’s hard to believe that it has been five years since I quit my hedge fund job, started a travel blog, and moved to London, but I think I have accomplished a decent amount since then!
90 countries, innumerable London restaurants, exciting travels around the UK, and—most importantly—great memories of all of my experiences have all made the first five years of the blog some of the best of my life.
On this special occasion, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of my readers, fans, followers, family, and friends for your support over the past five years. I cannot express how much it has meant to me to have your comments, tweets, likes, circles, shares, and every other form of engagement and encouragement.
The A Lady in London blog wouldn’t be what it is today without you, and I hope that in another five years you will still enjoy the blog as much as you do now!

Congrats Julie!! Keep it up…I look forward to your blog every week!!
Thanks Pam!
Congrats to you, and happy birthday to the blog!
Thanks Emily!
Congrats on such a huge milestone. I’ve been following along for a bit but didn’t realize this blog was around so long. I suspect the huge amount of great content should have been an indicator!! Lol. Keep up the great work – I have so much more information to devour!!
Thanks Tracey! I’m glad you enjoy reading it!
Congratulations! I enjoy reading your blog, and as someone who blogs as just a hobby (so far…), how did you make the leap from full-time employment (in an unrelated field) to full-time writer? And how did you know when it was “time” to do so?
Thanks Sasha! I made the leap after writing the blog as a hobby for a couple of years. I had always loved to write, and I learned the online part as I went. I didn’t really know that it was “time” per se, but I knew that I wanted to do it, so I took the plunge. It was scary, but definitely worth it!
Happy belated birthday, aladyinlondon blog
Thanks Ken!
Congrats Julie! Love reading your blog. Is a LIL book in the future?
Thanks Emily! Would love to do a book if I can find the time!
Happy birthday, wonderful blog
Wish you a lot more posts and beautiful photographs.
Thanks Emma!
