I came across this blog and like it. Great job.
90/30 is great, but another 40 to 40 is like 90/30.
I admire you for the courage to complete the task, and even visit countries that are expected to be in unstable regions. I suggest you to settle down for a couple of years somewhere you have been and write a book about it. Show people that our planet is an excellent place to live, no matter where.

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I actually spent two nights in Santiago, Chile, but I know what you mean about slowing down. I wish I had the time to spend a few more days in each place!

What you’re doing is great, but I would say your goal should just be to slow it down a little. Still travel but get to know each place better instead of rushing through. I read with great interest your trip to Santiago, Chile but realized you didn’t even spend a night there. I lived in Quito, Ecuador for two years and I couldn’t imagine somebody getting the gist of the city by spending one day there. We spent a week in London and felt like we didn’t scratch the surface of the place. Life is not a race, we all finish in the same place.

Thanks Pam! Those are good ideas! I looked at the New 7 Wonders list, and you’re right that I’ve been to almost all of them! I still have to make it to Timbuktu (I tried to go when I was in Bamako, but there was a travel advisory against it), Kyoto (my flight was delayed from Auckland so my trip to Japan was cut short and I had to cancel Kyoto), and the Staute of Liberty (can’t believe I haven’t done that one!).
